Occasionally, dermatologists are required to prescribe immunomodulatory drugs for the
control of serious or recalcitrant inflammatory dermatoses. Corticosteroids are often the first
line systemic antiinflammatory drug of choice, but other immunomodulatory drugs are
sometimes required to control disease activity and limit corticosteroid toxicity. The most
